Wow!

Thanks so much everyone! I woke up yesterday to find the goal has been reached! Thanks for all your messages; I'm assuming Patreon sent you guys an automatic email about it haha~

It's a little premature to celebrate, because these numbers fluctuate pretty often and may still drop down as people come and go, but it's still exciting!

So this seems like the right time to talk a little about physical rewards and "successful" funding :P

First off, I have something in mind for the rewards, but I'll wait til I have them in hand before I say for sure :) For those of you who didn't fund for the first reward and don't know how it works: I will be making a post in May asking for your info so I can send you a thing, but it's completely optional; anyone who funds any amount will be eligible.

Secondly, successful funding means the actual amount of funding I receive. At the end of each month, a certain number of pledges inevitably fail for various reasons; some of you have experienced this. The first month, everyone managed to fix their pledges, but last month a few people never fixed their pledges even after I tried to contact them, which means I never got their funding. This is apparently a very common problem for Patreon. So even though it says right now that I'll make the goal, there is a good chance that after the 1st of May this number will drop. It's a bit discouraging, but something I'm now prepared for.

So I've decided that even if the goal is not actually successfully funded, as long as we are above the goal at the time the payment process starts, and the end amount after declines is still reasonably close, I will still fulfill the physical reward :)) In the future though, it will depend on the successfully funded number.

Thanks again everyone :)))

Yeah haha, that's exactly what some people do, unfortunately; I've already caught a couple people doing it and blocked them, but of course if they were determined enough they could just make a new account. Patreon is supposedly working on adding the option to charge patrons immediately the first time they pledge, which would make fake pledging impossible, I think. Hopefully they implement it soon. As for the pledges this month, I had about the same amount of fails last month, and all but two people managed to work out the issues within a week, so the number should slowly climb back up. It may not make it back up to the goal though, which is disappointing :((

i'm confused about the failing pledges... it looks a bit to me like ppl sign up, use patreon for a month and follow artists basically for free and then don't pay at the end of the month which is pretty shitty, especially if it's possible to do this on a regular basis?

You deserve every penny~ your work is fantastic!

Congrats! I'm happy to support you and your talent. Hopefully your patreon will only continue to grow so you can keep doing what you love! 'Cause I love seeing what you create.

I am so happy you made your goal! I hope your Patreons continue to grow so you can make above and beyond what you need each month without fear. It feels so awesome that through our patronage you can showcase your talents and enjoy fandom for a living and we get incredible fan art in return! It's such an incredible win win for everyone it almost seems surreal that it's happening! :D

We love Reaper! And I - for one - am really happy to get to keep supporting you for at least another month. Take it as it comes, and I'll be here to throw money at you and cheer lead for as long as I can.

Well done Reaper. As Saki stated, try not to stress too much. We are helping you because we enjoy your work and speaking for myself, I always try to support my local artists and small businesses. You're simply an artist on my internet locale lol. Keep up the great work!

Congrats, Reaper! AHHH you absolutely deserve this~ Don't stress abt rewards too much tho; we want you to stay happy and healthy throughout this new journey of yours <333 ;A;
