I would give my right arm to be able to own a physical copy of "Wayfinding", but since it's way more useful to me than it would be to you, I'd happily give you a lot of money instead. I do hope that you somehow find a way around this online problem (since I'm outside the U.S.), but regardless, I will continue to enjoy your amazing work here.

I'll definitely keep this in mind if I decide to expand; in the case of Patreon I'm not overly worried that anyone here is underage, since you need a CC to pledge, I know they could still certainly find a way to sign up but there's so many hurdles I feel like it's a reasonable assumption. I'm more concerned about the logistics of adding/removing tiers and how it affects patrons, and also how to deal with the whole shipping cost thing since International shipping is so unreasonably expensive out of the US and I can't really just eat those costs, so I'd have to make separate tiers for US and other regions, and it sounds like a lot of work and complication.... I'll worry about it in May if the book actually pans out haha. But yeah, thank you for the tips about this, I'll keep it in mind if it seems like there will be trouble over this hehe~

This cover looks fantastic! I wish I could pick up a copy of your book, but I don't imagine you're coming up to conventions in Canada. I hope you manage to find a work around for online sales; I know it's a frustrating process with adult content, but I'd definitely buy a copy if you're able to do it.

So I wonder if a way around the whole selling to minors debacle is to add a 18+ Tier on Patron but as part of the terms of the Tier we agree to outside of Patron sign a sort of art commission contract that 1) protects you and the terms of your printing project/content and 2) verifies we are of legal age. There are services like docusign, Jot Not Signature, and hellosign that enable you to create contracts via template (that you can then modify with your legal language) and then you email the person to sign. The email usually contains an encryption link to the document with online y-sign functionality they can do in their web browser to actually sign (no software on their part required, the email will either contain a link to the secure url for signing or embed the y-sign document directly in an iframe within the email itself). There is an audit trail by default and the online signatures are considered as legally binding as your contract (so as a form of age verification they hold up). And since it functions via email it should be easy to match against your Patreon tier list and fast to distribute (they take like 3 min to sign online, easy peasy). And most of the services come with cloud storage included or integrate with your google drive to keep track of these documents (or countersign them if you want to go the contract route). The services are pretty cheap (like $10 a month unlimited documents cheap). I work in a software industry that utilizes Bluemoon and similar online contracts and agreements for some of our ancillary products and I have had to build these documents for clients myself on occasion. The online signatures are considered valid in court across the US. Really this should clear you in the eyes of the law because you are doing more than your due diligence.

I think they may have legal issues if they allow it; I think it's mostly to prevent people from using it to subscribe to real porn sites and stuff. According to their somewhat ambiguous rules my stuff may or may not be fine to sell if it's a paper book, but I don't wanna risk it. But yeah I'll figure something out :))

Wow I am sorry to read about this stipulation from paypal. They have my info, they know I'm over 18 but won't allow adult content from their vendors? I am sorry its complicated for you. If in the end you cannot sell a printed book I know your fans here will understand and support you!

I can't take Paypal as a payment because they don't allow their service to be used for most adult content, and most vendors where I could sell my book (Storenvy, etc) use Paypal, so I would risk losing my account. Plus, there's no real verification that the people buying are over 18, which I'm always concerned about; I can't really confirm it here either but at least there are some hurdles. I'm always a little worried I'll get grifted by someone under 18 and then their mom finds the book and tries to report me for selling to underage people :(( I could get in some serious trouble for that.

I'm curious to understand why you cannot sell online because of porn content? Being uninformed I guess I would have thought that you could sell things with your own artistic content unrestricted if you sold it yourself online. You can count me in among your supporters that would definitely purchase a copy of the printed book! It looks beautiful... Hannibal's manbun obviously is something we will see later in the series from the pages you have made available before now.
