Clowning in Fiona because she's serving as a foil to Angel's beloved Yor aside, the W.I.S.E agents lead incredibly sad lives to me. Never fails to remind me how incredible it is that all these people concealed away their emotions and happiness for the sake of creating a better world without war. When the show gets complex and deep like that (first episode with Loid, the episode with Sylvia talking about war, and this one) it produces my absolute favourite moments. Would much rather prefer that over Anya being a 5 year old but I get that they need to market this show as "light-hearted"
