A few years is still fast to go from healthy to dying from stress. The point is he was overworked from meeting the schedule of Shonen Jump and it was killing him. Not having to meet the weekly deadline allowed him to recover.

2024-12-29 01:03:23 +0000 UTCCour 4 will be 13 episodes. Cour 1-3 were adapting about 50-70 chapters each and there are only 26 chapters left for the manga to adapt. I've been seeing that we can expect roughly 7 episodes that will be almost entirely new content. Kubo's health was declining fast as he went into these last fights, so he had to rush to get them out. Now that he's not having to crank out a new chapter every week for Shonen Jump, he's recovered quite a bit. What we'll see in Cour 4 will be more in line with what he always intended. Also, if you think Yoruichi's transformation was gorgeous this time (it was), I can't wait to see what you think when you see the rest of the fight. XD
