So Rus Vikings are descended from Scandinavian Vikings, but they settled in what is now Russia and Ukraine I believe and eventually adopted the local language and converted to Christianity.

I, myself am Russian as well, and it will be interesting for me to see you two learning about my culture that will be portrayed in this show(which is done pretty well).It's very interesting.
