so the silver shoes here are based on the book version with the silver slippers not ruby ones from the movie This movie and braodway play are based off a book series called wicked but also wicked is based off a retelling basically of the wizard of oz book so its technically not cannon to the the wizard of oz stroyline cuz tis basically a retelling from the villians and good witches pov but tis not what the originally happens from the wizasrd of oz witch like from the og storyline so tis basically not to do with the actual wizard of oz and the wicked witch actual story it's just based on a book that a retelling so not by the original writer fo the og wizard fo iz so its basically a retelling I guess so basically like a alrunitve universe so not connected to the og story and isn't cannon to the og story

In the Emerald City the actress Indina Menzel who is the voice of Elsa is the original Elphaba on Broadway and next to her is Kristen Chenowith who is the original Galinda!! I recommend that you two listen to the original cast recording if you really liked the songs, you should also be able to find some videos of them on YouTube singing popular and defying gravity from the original show as well as a few other songs from act 2 which I won’t spoil for you

2025-03-29 04:52:42 +0000 UTCI know I’m a little late to the reaction and I know it may be a big ask if y’all aren’t into musicals, but I hope y’all will react to other musicals sometime like The Greatest Showman or Hairspray (if you haven’t already seen it of course) because even tho Wicked is my #1 there’s so many good musicals that will probably get the same reaction you both gave to this one.
