I know I am late and you probably won't see this but i thought I will clarify. The Velaryons and Targaryens both have Valyrian blood because they come from Valyria. The Velaryons also have White hair because Valyrians have white hair and purple/blue eyes regardless if they are one of the dragon families or not (think Northern Europe and how people tend to envision them as Ginger, Blonde or fair-haired). This episode is trying to hint at the fact that you may only need Valyrian blood not just Targaryen blood to ride a dragon. This is speculative of course and its something I don't think we will every truly understand completely (the dragon-binding process)

2025-01-29 15:30:54 +0000 UTCI’m late but daemon character did not do this in the books or have this weird storyline he took harrenhal easily but if you watched after season 1 the producers Sara Hess was mad because everybody liked daemon for being who he is the rogue prince so they tried to force this weird storyline on us to George rr Martin was mad about this because you know daemon is his favorite Targaryen and he is the most important character after rhaenyra
