alfred cant accept uthred because of his beliefs, alfred know uthreds valued more then anyone, but it his background and behaviour that differs from alfreds views, two main powerful characters can never get along well. uthred is the wolf that alfred cant control, and the day he accepts it will be the day they make peace.

2024-06-03 23:10:47 +0000 UTCYes, this episode was really probably the only time, that Alfred seems to be acting without any justification whatsoever. Previous season, Uhtred gave him reasons for the way he acted towards him. But this sudden i don't trust you, i can't trust you after tricking him into entering his service last season, seems all over the place, character wise... It's funny that Aethelred has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He is a spoiled brat through and through. And yes bringing Aethelflaed with him (even to that camp) was probably the dumbest move mad by any lord in the history of dumb moves.
