2024-05-31 14:01:23 +0000 UTCYou keep on cheering on whenever Uhtred does something rush and not so thought out, and then when the repercussions of those actions come, much like Uhtred, you protest. You keep on forgetting that they live in an older society with different norms and laws. You can't attack an unarmed "man of god" and what's more on holly ground. Also you can't forget that Alfred is King. He is not Uhtred's friend. He is a King first and foremost. You have to realize what that means for the societies back then. A king's word is THE word. Uhtred keeps going at it his own way, which is why we love him as a character, but that has its price. You can't protest when it's time to pay that price.
