In episode 1, we see Rhaenyra and Alicent walking through the halls filled with people and the atmosphere is so regal and beautiful. In this episode, the red keep feels dark, there’s hardly anyone walking the halls, it’s silent and there’s no warmth in the air. I love these little details in the contrast, you feel the weight of everything that has transpired in the set design and the overall vibe of the castle.

Self interested or not, I cant root for a man getting his bloodline and birthright replaced by people who look nothing like you and share no blood with you, while everyone just sweeps it under the rug. Another episode where Rhaenyra’s side doesn’t have to face consequences cuz of daddy (who’s only interested in fathering one of his 4 kids)

He told her about his prophetic dream of having a son that would become king. He also admitted to her that he was doubtful about naming his daughter as heir. He was drunk and later reassured Rheanyra that he would not waver from his decision of naming her heir, but Alicent wasn't there for that part. She doesn't know about Aegon's dream, only Viserys' dream.
