Yeah that's the only sorry I have with s3 and 4 is the pacing and story I dislike feeling completely lost and out of the loop. Definitely looking foaito Oshi no ko and fairy tail coming back

2024-06-23 23:33:22 +0000 UTCIf you're enjoying Tokyo Ghoul, definitely keep watching, since I read the manga before Season 2 came out I can't give any unbiased view on how enjoyable it is on it's own, if you enjoy it that's a good thing. The fanbase is quite divided due to some significant deviations from the manga and some big pacing issues/rushed content. Season 2 tried to do it's own separate storyline from the manga. The author even wrote a completely different story for it, but production constraints forced them to blend the new plot with the original, resulting in a mix that is neither a faithful adaptation nor a standalone story. Season 3 attempted to realign with the Tokyo Ghoul: Re manga, but this led to missing a lot of information that should have been covered between Season 1 and Season 3, which Season 2 didn't adapt. Additionally, the second half of Season 3 (Season 4) compressed over 120 manga chapters into just 12 episodes. This level of compression would be rushed in a typical battle shonen series, and even more so in a psychological seinen manga like Tokyo Ghoul. I am really looking forward to Code Geass, it's a great series. As for weekly anime, Oshi no Ko season 2 is coming out in 2 weeks.
