2023-12-06 18:50:40 +0000 UTCHodor: George RR Martin wrote hodor to present symptoms resembling some form of autism, non communicative, only using one word hordor, but was always able to understand instructions clearly. Bran since the beginning was always close to hodor and at times was able to warg himself into hodor. This season he sees hodor whos actually named wylis as a fully articulate boy when they get into trouble as he is currently warged into hodor he accidently links/wargs future hodor with younger hodor who then has a seizure as a result muttering the only words he hears at the time hold the door which would then become hodor and the only word he will ever speak. The paradox is that how can something that happen in the future change the past, and not the other way around, which just goes to show 1. the power of the three eyed raven but also the danger and potential for abuse of the power (the power to change the future/past, fate/destiny) 2. how a moment in the future of hodors life changed his past self, and not the other way around, which ultimately left hodors whole life to have one single purpose, to hold the door. It sad as fuck but amazing writing by George RR martin.

2023-12-06 17:12:58 +0000 UTCArya current story line: I hated it too watching it the first time but it wasn't after till I realized the importance of it. So at the end of season 5 and till now she is dealing with internal conflict, dealing with her PTSD and becoming no one, what comes with becoming no one is leaving behind who you are, for her it means leaving behind the name stark but that means leaving behind her dad her family everything she's ever known. The plays she watches bring back memories of her past traumas and although are harsh its a reminder of who she is and most importantly reminds her or her father and what he stood for. Jorah/Daenerys: one of my favorite arcs, jorah who was hired to spy on Dani and make sure she dies AFTER betraying his family in Westeros and being banished, betrayed the people who sent him to do that to her by making sure she survives and saving her every time, his whole life was about betraying people until he ended up literally falling in love with her and after nothing but betrayals he finally wants to stand up and prove his honor that's why his words I "only want to serve you" and " I love you" is how he wants to redeem himself over his many broken oaths and prove that he's worthy by serving his queen.

2023-12-06 17:11:37 +0000 UTCTay, basically what happened is that in an attempt to warg into present day hodor, Bran accidentally wargs into past hodor as well and causes him to have a seizure. People think that while having this seizure, past hodor is so traumatized by witnessing his future death “holding the door” that he stays stuck in that moment for the rest of his life saying “hodor”.
