Fairy Tail Episode 324 Reaction!

Comments

Zeref's end is so beautiful. My personal favorite ending of any villain, and my personal favorite most complex villain. Know im late, didn't want your FT reations to end so I kept them.. but almost 100 year now.

Makarov surviving is the only case of someone surviving that I didn't like. He's old enough you could make a 300+ episodes prequel about him if you really wanted to tell more of his story. But he could have gone out like a legend here.

Mistranslation - they didn't say the essence of magic, but the One Magic, cuz that's what love is, the Primordial Magic

The Curse of Contradiction is one of the most messed up fates you can force upon someone. Mind breaking and psychological torment for eternity

I definitely don't think it was a continuity issue with him coming back - just think it takes away a lot of the impact - people have survived Natsu's lightning strikes and Gajeel's Iron Dragon Sword which we've seen how lethal can be in the beginning of the show

I don't doubt that it was possible but it's like damn should they have really brought him back after the impact he left on us and even giving us a couple of episodes to cope with it

Okay, so, first, I think everyone's opinion on this is valid. Makarov waking back up after being 'dead' for so long, I can totally see how people don't like it. It's a rug pull, and I get it. This is my opinion, and why I think it isn't that far of a stretch in the end. FT is full of extraordinary magic. Gildarts is missing half of his body. No one ever dies from Natsu's flames. Erza stopped a meteor with ONE ARM. The reason I think Makarov lives here is because of magic (duh, but keep reading lol.) He died because Fairy Law drained him of his magic, and lifeforce. His body was fine, and it even looked like he had turned into a stone statue, not a limp, dead body. He should have been dead, and the only reason he isn't is because of Fairy Heart. No other magic would have been strong enough to revive him imo. I also don't believe for a minute that Natsu punched ALL the magic out of Zeref. He would have recovered, just like he said, if Mavis wouldn't have truly loved him, and didn't have the power of Fairy Heart at her side. My opinion is that the curse was lifted with the assistance of Fairy Heart, and the magic that was leftover, they gave to Makarov. After all, you can't take it with you to the afterlife LOL. Mavis had just mentioned him, accusing Zeref of killing him, moments before they kissed. Mavis loved Makarov, she even named him, and the essence of magic is love. I like to think of it as their little parting gift to their loved ones at FT. Now, that being said, I don't think I would feel the same way if Makarov would have been mortally wounded, though, but because of the circumstances, this is the way I like to think of it. PS...remember all the way back during the beach episode, Lucy was talking with Capricorn about what the essence of magic really was? She said that her mom had told her about it, and that Lucy didn't believe that Hades ever would have found it, because she thought it was love. She was right all along.

Join the club, First Gajeel and then Master! Thing is the latter felt way more final definite than the former, given how long his supposed death and revival was
