Every bit of foreshadowing that Natsu was E.N.D: 1: Natsu: END... that's the guy Igneel tried to kill Zeref: the person Igneel COULDN'T kill, more accurately 2: Zeref: "You or END will reach me" 3: The objective of the demons of the books of Zeref is to be able to kill Zeref. zeref when he met natsu at like episode 101 or smth: "You're still not strong enough to break me" 4: "END is a fire demon" 5: END is 400+ years old. In the Battle of Fairy Tail arc, Natsu couldn't get out of Freed's runes because no one over the age of 80 could pass 6: Literally everyone says Natsu isn't human/a monster when he fights

Some of the best episodes of the series are not far off, and when you find out the answers to your questions, you'll probably just be left with more questions LMAO! The payoff in the final season is worth the wait, though :)
