It usually leads to me not watching anymore, because they aren't even paying attention.

Because you pay attention, and remember the small details, which helps you put the pieces together. I have a feeling this will come in very, very handy as we continue through the series, by the way LOL. The final season has callbacks all the way to almost the very beginning.
