Rogue literally last episode went "the era or an emotionless Sabertooth is over" and a couple episodes ago was all like "I want to be someone who cherishes his comrades.", like Rogue's always been less of an asshole than Sting was and stuff. Current day Rogue isn't tainted by darkness, Future Rogue is, but there's literally evidence that they're from 2 different time streams since in Future Rogue's time, the dragons didn't pass. There's no saying that's the only change; who knows, maybe Rogue was always kinda messed up in that time period? Just a speculation though, he probably wasn't and was a good guy until a certain something happened in his timeline, since the dragon said "Your heart is tainted by darkness... or will be tainted by darkness from here on out...", clearly implying SOMETHING happens Anyway that's enough brainstorming and theory stuff, NATSU AND ATLAS FLAME VS ROGUE AND MOTHER GLARE WHOOOOOOO that entire sequence went hard

2023-12-22 08:46:51 +0000 UTCHA! I love the moment of realization you had about Natsu needing to get to Atlas Flame! LMAO I think Ultear is wrong thinking that Rogue is the reason the portal opened. She has to be, or future Lucy's timeline wouldn't exist...I think. Honestly, this timeline/parallel universe/timey wimey shit is tiring to think about pffft. I still think future Lucy's timeline was created by Arcadios going back to kill Zeref, and had nothing to do with Rogue at all. I can't exactly explain it all because spoilers... What we know for sure is that there are at least two future timelines...one where Lucy doesn't allow the gate to open at all (where Future Rogue is from), and the one that 10,000 dragons came to (Future Lucy's timeline). What we don't know is what event made the two timelines branch off in the first place, so unless Mashima comes out with a detailed parallel universe flow chart, I'm going to assume that these two timelines are only two of an infinite number of timelines whose paths happened to cross with a third. Maybe? That's enough braining for today. Oh, one more thing... There will be some episodes coming up very soon that you may not be able to watch one at a time. I'm thinking of one in particular, that I can pretty much guarantee you won't end with. Just a heads up.
