2023-12-16 14:14:47 +0000 UTCAlso, I can say this now Future Lucy wanted to see her guildmark and asked to see it last episode because she lost her hand when the dragons destroyed the country. We can see a bit of that in the first episode of the season because we saw a zoom in shot of her hand on the ground and assumed it was still attached to Lucy, however when the camera panned to Lucy she was sitting and a rock was conveniently covering/censoring her arm... it's why Natsu said Lucy got lighter... look at any shots of Lucy's dead body during their fight and you'll see it :') go to the 2:31 minute mark of this upload/recording, NOT THE EPISODE but your patreon reaction lol

2023-12-16 13:57:06 +0000 UTCthe impact of future lucy's death on you is about right. the thing with the show is you feel the pain the CHARACTERS themselves are experiencing and the tragedy of it all, so you feel bad for the characters, but not for the dead person per se. think of simon. we got to see bro for like 9 episodes before he died, the pain and sadness felt in that moment was felt for erza, who just saw one of her closest childhood friends die right before her eyes. similarly with jude, I cried for LUCY, not necessarily for him, even though the situation was still really sad
