2023-12-02 05:28:43 +0000 UTCOkay it'd been a while since I saw this fight so I mightβve been too harsh on it. It's certainly bearable, and towards the ending I definitely enjoy it. It's just... how'd we go from Gray vs Rufus and the last day of the Grand Magic Games to this π This fight was a good opportunity to showcase and play all the new soundtracks, cuz given that this is essentially an entirely new season/series, there's naturally a new musical score - Fairy Tail OST, Volume 5. The soundtrack made this much more enjoyable for me, but then again it might just be me cuz I am a (self proclaimed π) FT soundtrack connoisseur lmao- they actually played one of, if not my favourite soundtrack from volume 5 here, "Dragon Raid" Honestly main issue with the whole fight is just how forced it feels to make these guys look like threats and stretch our their ass-whooping. Sitri is supposedly Mira's strongest Satan Soul, the second she transformed it should've been over for ALL of them in my opinion, and like I stated last time, Natsu publicly violated Sting and Rogue on live television and how he's getting his ass kicked by these clowns, it's pretty off putting. Though Natsu is different to Erza in a sense that even though he's insanely powerful, he kinda plays around and lets himself get ragdolled at first, when in reality he's much more powerful than his opponent- so at least that bit isn't a plot hole, I guess. But yeah, meh fight My personal highlights/saving graces would be: - how it ends - soundtrack - Lily screentime/spotlight, cuz he actually fights on his own. Lily was shown to be insanely powerful back when he was introduced, sucks that he got nerfed and doesn't get much individual character scenes anymore but oh well. Just makes me appreciate moments like these more Yeah TL;DR, the fight's aight. Think it was way longer than it should've been and is generally a downgrade when compared to the rest of the arc, but it has a couple of saving graces, which in my opinion, at least made it enjoyable (for me) Why did I make this so long π
