FYI Raymond/Ray is calling Shizuku Tear not Tia, it's a nickname based on the fact that her name Shizuku (雫) means "drop (e.g. of water); drip", the subtitles kind of messed that up, making it just seam weird that he suddenly calls her by a different name. While it would have left any lasting issues thank's to his regrowth Tatsuya definitely wouldn't have been chilling if Miyuki didn't protect him from the backlash of cancelling Muspelheim and Niflheim. I would explain it myself but I feel like the novel gives the best insight in the situation here, while also providing some character for Tatsuya: His Gram Dispersion wiped out both Miyuki’s Niflheim and Lina’s Muspelheim at the same time. The cold air mixing drastically with the flames and lightning, a wind that would cause burns and frostbite at once blew around violently. Tatsuya had prepared himself for the inevitable searing pain, but the storm, its fang’s fiery blaze and extreme cold, hit an invisible wall right in front of him. “Brother! What have you done?!” Her face pale, Miyuki ran over to him. Lina watched him, dumbstruck. Protecting themselves from the mere aftereffects, the heat, and cold waves, would have been a piece of cake no matter how tired they were. But it wasn’t something Tatsuya could manage. He knew his own talents well. At times like these, he envied the ability to use normal magic.

It starts to weaken as the magic spreads across a wider area and that if its radius can be contained that it could be turned into a high energy plasma beam.
