Would that actually have worked though, since the Grand Magic World was literally a world where "Zeref would be awakened" yet he was already awake? Or was it just another false belief held by Hades is up to pure speculation

Soon... PS. Kudos for remembering that Ultear has already established the idea of time stuff. The Key of the Starry Heavens arc addressed it as well, not to mention Fairy Sphere, and the celestial spirit realm. Time is important in this story, in many different ways.
