Shizuku's match there at the start and made it look like she was using the same magic as before but she was using a completely new magic together with that new CAD. The Magic she used initially wouldn't work well in the finals when directly competing, as she would also destroy her opponents. Instead she continuously casted convergence magic and oscillation magic magic leading to her red targets converging into the middle while the while targets get pushed away (interfering with her opponents targeting) and then destroying either by them hitting each other or through oscillation magic. That's why that new generalized CAD with the auxiliary sights and speed of a specialized model was necessary, with a specialized one she would only be able to case one type of magic at the same time, she needed two for this to work.
