Asuna is saying „Real World“ in English, the “sacred tongue” as far as Underworldians are concerned, so they don’t really understand the implication of the words “real world”, they take it as a term/name in the sacred tongue, just like things like “System Call” to them is just a phrase to be used as part of a magic chant. Also here we see Alices let’s say, competitive side, she has a tendency to make things a contest if she doesn’t feel like the best/most dominant female in the room, we see the same behaviour when she and Fanatio are interacting and things devolve into bickering. I feel like Alice internal monologue during that meeting between Asuna and the Knights shows off her mental state quite well and that it’s not just because of Kirito that she is acting that way: As she listened to Asuna’s pristine voice, Alice wondered what it was about her that made her so irritated. It was true that her first impression of Asuna had been terrible. Of course, she wasn’t going to feel good when the young woman approached Kirito without notice of any kind. It was Alice who had protected and cared for him in his wounded state for the past six months. But Asuna came from the real world, like Kirito did. It was clear from her actions that she had some kind of personal relationship with him there. In other words, she had come all the way to this realm after him. Maybe she had the right to see him.
