Progress Report July II

This was an extremely technical update, as you'll see below.
I made the character bios/relevant information become *gosubs so that I dont duplicate text and inflate word count like a cheater lol
Super thankful I got it to work since i was falling asleep and was thinking about KaE (like i usually do lol) and wondered how icky it'd be to inflate the word count by just copypasting the character bios i made all over the relationship tabs. So I thought about gosubbing since I still wanted to do the character search function in the future and thought this up!

Below, is what i have for the actual House family member descriptions, yanno, where there's a shit ton of text? I just added a label and slapped a return command at the bottom like so:

I also did some minor changes to the stats page and chapter 1:

^As some of you eagle-eyed readers will notice and inevitably ask: yes our possible origin background will 100% have an impact on the Squire Route. Plus other route. It'll also have impact if we look like our grandma Juliette if she was a possible tribeswoman.
Moving on.
There was a conversation regarding Adelina's hair color if we are raven haired, and I decided to just leave it to you guys instead!
I think it feels natural and flows with the story without interrupting the emotional tone here.
The most transformative coding or technical addition this update brings, is without a doubt the personality reaction script! I finished it in about 6 hours after mentally struggling on how to go about it, and settled on this:
As I said in the community chat, I was honestly going crazy from trying to think of a way to implement this and account for ties, and came up with this instead. Much more simpler I think.
The above is the script that is performed after time skips, so that people know you as having been one of the four main personality traits. Everytime we "leave" a timeskip is a period of emotional distress and suitable for when our Champion can "change" their personality due to responding to whatever crisis or issue weighing over their minds at the time.
The below is the actual script when important scenes where NPCs will react if you decide to choose something different during said scene:
I could have made one more script that accounts for when a new personality becomes your dominant, but this would be redundant as you've seen why above. Plus it'd be too much work for little gain on my part.
In the future though, I'll make one for the factions as I can just plug in the faction variables instead of the personalities so that it'll be possible for factions to know remember your history and deem you trustworthy or not.
And now for the HEAVIEST technical or coding addition this update brings, is something I'm certain will make everyone here happy: A SKIP OPTION!
You'll still have to rapid fire set your variables, and it WILL be quite long, but it'll be FAR more faster than replaying the whole 200k+ game again. I was TIRED of you guys losing saves. Fed up as FUCK. So for now, I'm doing this to make it accurate, and as quick as possible.

The skip function has its own variable that'll tell the game from the moment you switch scenes that you're a skipper and bring you straight to the newest content.

Unfortunately, or better said thankfully, because of this new skip addition, I found a few mistakes and errors in chapter 1 as I looked for important variable choices; the biggest being the variables for south (when you see the execution of Lord Trendel) was ALSO being used in the WEST exploration branch (where we first met Baraka), so I got that fixed now lol.
Ive personally tested all of the above, so it should be ready to go.
Tomorrow, you receive the technical update and part of the actual content that continues the story! We see what our father's surprise is, meet the other Squires while learning just a bit about them and who they are, and finally set off on a trireme to the north!
I'm very tempted to leave it at a cliffhanger, but I think that'd be needlessly malicious of me, especially since I know everyone is biting for action! Hence, the update after this one is a full on action sequence where we kill our first few tribesmen.
Can't wait to finally let the gore out into the pages of KaE again!!!!

From this reply, 8-10 hours from now. It may be pushed to 12 but only because I have to go to the Mexican Consulate for some legal paperwork and idk how long that'll actually be. But it WILL be tonight!
