iOS Apple App has purchase fee
Added 2024-11-01 18:00:09 +0000 UTCStarting Nov.4th Apple is forcing the Patreon app to process payments through them with Apple keeping 30% of each payment. And to accommodate this Patreon tier prices will increase by 30% only on Patreon's iOS app for new Patrons.
If you're already a Patron, this raise will not affect you. Only new patrons who join through the iOS app will be charged more.
How to avoid the 30% charge at sign up?
Don't subscribe through the Patreon app on iOS.
The prices will remain the same if you subscribe through PC or Android.
The 30% fee is not shared with Patreon or creators, only Apple so I suggest in future if you choose to cancel and re-subscribe at a later time please do so through a PC or Android!
