Added 2020-10-12 22:02:36 +0000 UTCMany of you may have noticed a lessening in my output recently. That’s because I’ve been dealing with some health issues. Since March or so I’ve had increasing abdominal pains. Well, I’ve recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. They told me this about a month ago, but I didn’t want to make an announcement until I knew where things were heading.
I just had my first bout of chemotherapy last week. Based on that and how I’ve felt, it looks like I’m not going to get too much done those weeks. I got quite a bit of computer work done (writing, cleaning scanned files, etc.) but little drawing. However, this week, I feel back to normal & just spent today at the drawing board.
With this curtailing of work time, I’ll have less auction pieces, of course, and those who have commissioned pieces may find the wait longer than usual. I’ll do my best to keep up.
Also, I’m going to be focusing a bit more on my Clarissa story. I feel it’s one of the best things I’ve done & I have so much more I want to do with it, so it’s sort of my prime focus. The upshot of that will be more Clarissa pieces for sale, of course, and I’ll still turn out a few misc. pieces, as they help give the brain a break.
I’ll also be posting more of my “in progress” pencil pieces. These are things that I’ve sketched & don’t yet know what to do with. I have several 1 ft. high stacks, with pieces years old. I hope these will hold your interest in those periods when I’m “off my feet”.
I appreciate everyone’s patronage. It means a lot to me.
