Things in the works

Just a look a projects. This is why you guys are so important to me. You see all the things I wanna do & you can imagine how much time they all take. Until recently, I had a real life job which meant I was wasting 40 hours a week on other things. Now, between your support & my freelance art, I'm hoping to be able to support myself & move forward on these and my novel.

In order, there's Turtle & Ninja, which involves a lot of body-switching & humor. NOT a serious series.

Next is Star Quest, which will appear on TG Comics & Stories when finished. I HOPE you can guess what I'm parodying here.

Third, The Carrington Curse. I've sold a few of these on eBay. A big tough thug has stolen the body of a society "dame" to pull off a robbery.

Forth, is a look at Arianna Vance. I did the first part of her story a while back & it's still available at Lulu. I've had trouble getting back to it, as I seemed to almost burn myself out doing it.

Fifth, Mimsy Mohan. I've done a lot of Mimsy pieces, but I've decided to take a more serious look at the story. Poor Uncle Ernie is now Mimsy. However, can even HIS steady hand and common sense pull Mimsy's life out of the downward spiral she's on? If you know my work, you'll probably realize Mimsy & Kristina Bicci are somewhat two sides of the same coin. Although Kristina seems to have made a success of HER new body & life. (If being an internet porn star is a success).

And finally, Clarissa. Of all my projects, she's the most developed (In more ways than one) This is a piece from either issue 6 or 7.

Anyway, just wanted to let you see all the things that are in the works.

Sorry. didn't mean to post that yet, Was trying to start a new paragraph. Anyway, once I write it, I place the balloons, create any logo, etc. Then I print them out, although in some cases the art may be inked or even colored at this stage. Once the text is printed, I then ink & color and add the circle & background. Hope that helps.

Occasionally I have the whole idea at once, but 95% of the time, I just sketch. I have hundreds of sketches of figures stacked up right now. Once they're sketched, I scan them in. I'll page through the files until an idea strikes me. Sometimes it takes years. I've just in the last week written 2 pieces hat I know are 5 years old. I'd gone over them hundreds of times, but last week, they just spoke to me & Boom! I had it written in less than 20 minutes.

I'm curious about your process, from the pages I've bought in the past I know your print your final dialog on the page directly. Do you sketch your ideas first, plan out the text, scan the sketch, letter it, print the text on the page, and then do final inks/colors? Does it vary?

Fun! I enjoyed seeing the rough sketches, too...it's interesting to get a little insight into the process.

Love them all but especially excited to see Arianna return!
