C4 John Wick
Added 2023-05-29 06:34:31 +0000 UTC(A/N: I know that I’m repeating myself but... Just to be clear so that everyone understands. This story is only for fun and it will not impact the Spider-Man story whatsoever. I just had the urge to write this after watching the last John Wick movie. That’s all. Chapters will appear erratically when I’m bored and have time to write.)
Hadrian stood in a private Japanese shrine/Dojo nestled deep within the Osaka Continental Hotel, anticipation bubbling inside him.
He was about to embark on his first day of training under the guidance of Koji Shimazu, his newly appointed sensei.
Clad in a plain white gi, Hadrian's eyes met Koji's steady gaze as they stood across from each other, ready to begin their journey.
Koji's voice carried the weight of authority as he spoke, his words laced with the wisdom of years spent in the world of assassins.
"Hadrian, before we begin, there are certain aspects of our training and our master-disciple relationship that I must explain to you. In Japanese culture, we place great importance on discipline, respect, and tradition. As your sensei, I will guide and mentor you not only in the ways of combat but also in life itself. And in return, you must be diligent and hard-working."
Hadrian nodded, his resolve firm. He understood the significance of a man like Koji accepting him as a disciple. "I understand, Master. I will give you my utmost respect and dedication."
Koji smiled, a glimmer of approval shining in his eyes. "Good. Let’s begin by addressing some key elements that shape our training. Bowing is a fundamental sign of respect, so we will begin and end each training session with a bow. You will also bow when entering and leaving the training area, as well as when greeting me, but I’m not as strict as my former master. Just keep the etiquette to our training sessions.”
Although Koji respects tradition and rules, some thing’s are just a bit too much in his opinion. He would much rather have a less strict relationship with his new disciple.
Not to mention that fact that Hadrian technically holds a higher position than him.
Being the son of a member of the High Tables has its perks after all. Even if your father hates you.
“Dojo etiquette is crucial, and you will adhere to the rules without question. This includes maintaining cleanliness, being punctual, and following instructions diligently. If you are late without good reason, there will be a punishment. And if such behavior is continued, then our time as teacher and student will come to a swift end. Am I clear?" He said with a serious glare.
Hadrian absorbed Koji's words, his focus unwavering. “Yes, sir.”
He recognized that these customs were essential in his training and would follow his master's words to the letter.
Koji continued. "Finally, we respect tradition and learn from its wisdom. Take the time to understand the history and principles of everything that I teach you. Remember, history is the greatest teacher, and tradition is the compass that guides us forward."
Hadrian felt a swell of reverence for the rich heritage he was about to become a part of. He was eager to get started and learn from his new master.
"Now," Koji said, his tone firm, "let’s commence your training."
Hadrian's excitement peaked as he prepared himself for the first lesson, envisioning the elegant dance of sword and gunplay he had witnessed his master perform in the fourth John Wick movie.
But Koji's next words shattered his expectations. "We will begin with something fundamental. Flexibility. Before you can learn anything from me, you must possess the agility and dexterity required. And we achieve that through stretching."
Hadrian's enthusiasm wavered for a brief moment, his mind conjuring images of mundane Yoga stretches.
Surely, it would be an easy start to his training. However, Koji's piercing gaze hinted at something more.
With a knowing smile, Koji spoke. "Your expression tells me you think this will be easy... Let’s see if you still feel that way once we get started.”
Hadrian's eyes narrowed, wondering what he meant by that.
Koji motioned to the floor. “I assume you know how to do a split?” He asked.
“Uhh, yeah...” Hadrian nodded as he spread his legs and lowered himself to the floor.
His master watched in disappointment as Hadrian failed to complete a full split, hovering over a foot off the ground, unable to go any lower.
“?” Hadrian watched in confusion as Koji circled around him. “So, what now?” He asks, unable to see his master anymore.
“Take a deep breath and prepare yourself.” Koji instructed as the sound of footsteps growing closer could be heard behind him.
“Uhh, okay...” Hadrian did as he was told. “What now- Ahhhhhh!” He asked before a shrill scream burst from his lungs.
Without warning, Koji hopped up and set both of his feet on Hadrian's thighs, forcing all of their combined weight down on his wide legs.
In an instant, Hadrian was forced down about 5 extra inches closer to the ground, face contorted in agony as his stiff muscles were forced to stretch further than ever before.
Ignoring the screaming of his new disciple, Koji bounced his weight up and down like a trampoline. “This isn’t a yoga studio. Our training will be swift and productive. And usually, that means painful as well.”
“Aaaggghhh!” Hadrian continued to scream in agony. “P-Please... Ugh... Stop!”
“Then would you like to quit?” Koji asked casually. “Because if you quit now, then I have no use for such a weak-willed student...”
“...” Silence filled the area as Hadrian bit his tongue, holding back his wailful screams.
“I asked you a question!” Koji exclaimed as he jumped higher than before and crashed down on Hadrian's hips, forcing him completely onto the ground this time.
A perfect split.
“AAAAHHHHHH!” Unable to hold it back anymore, Hadrian let out the loudest scream yet. “I... ugh! I won’t quit! Keep going!”
“Good.” Koji nodded as he continued bouncing up and down. “Because this is just the beginning...”
...
Meanwhile, outside the shrine/Dojo, the yakuza-styled men who guarded the place couldn’t help but wince, as they never expected their boss to go so hard on his new disciple.
Especially on the first day...
Each one of them had gone through a similar start to their training, though they were much younger when it happened.
Memories of those times sent shivers down their spines, though they could tell that their boss was going especially hard on Hadrian compared to them.
They couldn’t help but mentally wish the new kid some luck as his screams echoed into their ears.
-Hours later-
Hadrian lay sprawled out on the floor, covered in sweat and tears, feeling like his entire body was put through a meat grinder.
It didn’t take long for the true nature of his first day to reveal itself.
He was put through a trial of endurance and pain, not the flashy combat he had anticipated.
There’s nothing that could have prepared him mentally or physically for the hours of unending torture that he just went through.
Koji strictly guided Hadrian's body into all sorts of agonizing positions, forcing his muscles to stretch beyond their normal means.
And when he thought that it was finally over, his master would start all over again on a different portion of his body.
From neck, shoulders, arms, upper body, back, hips, glutes, legs, ankles, feet, hands, and wrists. If it was on his body and could move in any meaningful way, then Hadrian was put through a torturous stretch for it.
Even his fingers weren’t spared.
“That was a good start.” Koji nodded in approval as he eyed the sweat-stained tatami flooring. “Now clean the dojo and you’re done for the day.”
“A-Are we done with the stretches?” Hadrians asked, hoping he would never have to go through something like that ever again.
“For today, yes.” Koji nodded as he turned his back and walked off. “The stretches will continue tomorrow alongside some light cardio!” He called out as he turned the corner, leaving Hadrian alone on the floor, a devastated look on his face.
“Is it too late to give up?” He asked himself jokingly.
After taking a few calming breaths, Hadrian pulled himself up to his feet and got right to work.
As a man who lived an entirely separate life up to old age, he was no stranger to chores, so simply cleaning up after himself wasn’t a big deal.
Though a small part of him found such things to be beneath him. After all, Hadrian has lived an extremely wealthy life before this, where all sorts of servants took care of his every need and whim.
But thankfully, he was able to push past those spoiled feelings and get the job done.
And just as Hadrian was finished with his cleaning, an odd phenomenon appeared before him.

“What the f*ck?” Hadrian uttered as he watched it startup like some sort of computer program.
Reaching out to touch the screen, he found that his hand simply passed right through it, exiting on the other side.
And as he moved his head, the holographic screen stayed perfectly at the center of his vision, as if it was a part of him.
