In a grand mansion nestled within the affluent corners of Washington DC, where opulence and extravagance danced through every ornate detail, a scene of despair unfolded.
Hadrian Pierce, a rather handsome 15-year-old teenager with jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes, lay sprawled on the cold marble floor of his home's dining room, surrounded by a crimson pool of his own blood.
His body bore the scars of the torturous beating inflicted upon him by his father, a man whose love had twisted into hatred ever since the tragic demise of Hadrian's mother during his birth.
There was once a time when he craved his father's love more than anything else, hoping to impress the man into loving him, but that never seemed worked.
No matter what Hadrian did, his father would always remain the same. Either stoic on a good day, or hateful and cruel on any other.
No matter how many 1st place trophies he brought home, or flawless report cards he flaunted proudly, his father would always treat him the same.
There was only a single time when his father seemed even a tiny bit impressed with him.
That was when he took 1st place in a national mixed martial arts competition, though he only received a single nod before his father turned around and left him alone, holding his trophy in silence.
And even then, his father still hated him.
Nothing changed. In fact, the beatings that he would receive became even worse, as if his father wanted to show his own strength as well.
Hadrian had endured countless acts of violence at the hands of his father, the torment was a cruel reminder of his supposed role in his mother's death.
But on this fateful day, something had changed.
No longer able to suppress the words of rebellion that burned within him, Hadrian had mustered the courage to voice his thoughts, to challenge his father's twisted blame.
As the words left his lips, the air around them grew heavy with tension.
A storm brewed in his father's eyes, his fury unleashed upon his son a hundred fold.
Hadrian tried to fight back, hoping to show that he could defend himself, but his father was bigger than him and far more skilled when it came to fighting.
The onslaught intensified, blows raining down upon Hadrian's smaller frame. Each strike marking his body with new bruises, cuts, and gashes.
And when his father was finally finished with him, he pulled out a small handkerchief, wiped his bloody hands clean, and left without a single word, leaving Hadrian bleeding out on the floor.
As Hadrian waited, unable to move, he wondered whether his father would send someone to help him. After all, he was still losing blood from a few of the more deep gashes and cuts along his body.
But sadly, nobody came.
Which was odd since the mansion was filled with servants as well as their family’s men, who patrol the place like clockwork.
Suddenly, Hadrian realized something. ‘He’s hoping that I’ll die...’ he thought as a frown marred his bloody face.
With Hadrian's wounds, if he wasn’t tended to within the hour, then his life would certainly be in danger.
‘No! I refuse to die!’ Mustering up all the strength that he could, Hadrian tried and failed to climb to his feet over and over again. His strained movement only worsened his situation, as even more blood flowed from his body.
And although Hadrian didn’t notice, as he was far too busy trying to save his own life, two armed men in black suits stood just outside the dining room, watching his struggle with sad looks on their faces.
“Why is the Councilman doing this to his son?” One asks the other, pity written all over his face. “I understand harsh training, but this isn’t training...”
“Keep your mouth shut!” The other whispered harshly, pulling him away from the room. “Are you trying to get me killed? Our opinions mean nothing in front of the High Table...”
And as the onlookers left, the young teenager teetered on the precipice of oblivion, the life slowly draining from his eyes.
Though just before he could die, a peculiar occurrence shattered the bleakness of his situation.
A glimmering, ethereal blue light materialized, drifting through the open window, drawn towards Hadrian like a magnet.
The luminescence merged with his broken body, and in that mystical union, a profound transformation occurred.
In an astonishing display of inexplicable power, the wounds that had marred Hadrian's flesh began to heal at an astonishing rate.
Cuts and bruises faded into nothingness, leaving behind unblemished skin and renewed vitality.
Hadrian gasped, his breath returning in ragged bursts as he slowly sat up, eyes wide in shock. But healing wasn’t the only gift bestowed upon him.
As the foreign light merged with his very being, an influx of memories flooded his consciousness, intertwining his own life with that of another.
Images, emotions, and experiences swirled together, weaving a tapestry of intertwining destinies.
Hadrian's mind raced to make sense of this surprising combination of identities. And amidst the jumble of memories, one name rang with particular clarity.
John Wick.
The cinematic world of the legendary assassin seeped into Hadrian's newfound knowledge, its presence contrasted against the reality of his father's affiliation with the infamous High Table.
In a startling revelation, Hadrian pieced together the fragments of his fractured existence.
The realization dawned upon him, both frightful and exhilarating in its implication.
Either he had gone crazy from the many beatings that were regularly forced upon him, or he was living in the world of John Wick, a set of four movies following the tragic and bad*ss life of the world’s greatest assassin.
The whispers of John Wick amongst his father’s men were now started to make some sense.
A whirlwind of emotions tugged at Hadrian's core. Fear and trepidation mingled with a surge of excitement as he contemplated the possibilities before him.
On one hand, his family had a seat at the High Table, the leaders in this world of assassins
But on the other hand, John Wick was a real threat to someone like him.
Although he would never start trouble with the Baba Yaga, his father, and the High Table were a completely different story.
They would certainly poke the bear soon enough, which would put his life in danger just by affiliation.
‘What year is it?’ Hadrian asked himself, his mind jumbled by the new memories that clouded his mind.
Unable to think properly, Hadrian pulled himself up to his feet and limped all the way to his bedroom, ignoring the stares from the servants and his father's men as he passed by.
Finally, after walking for an eternity, as his home is as big as the Whitehouse, Hadrian locked himself in his spacious bedroom and leaned his back against the door, staining it red with his blood.
“I should clean up...” He muttered to himself as he pushed off the door, heading for his private bathroom.
...
Taking deep breaths as he relaxed under the shower head, Hadrian tried to make sense of his scrambled mind.
And after a while, he finally put the pieces together.
The soul or whatever had merged with him was a man named James Evans, a normal man who watched a lot of movies and TV Shows, but other than that he was just your average everyday guy.
He even died at the ripe old age of 76, which wasn’t so bad for him. After all, when you get past a certain age, everyday tasks become impossible, making life rather difficult for most elderly men and women.
And when it was James' turn to die, he wasn’t scared or dreadful. In fact, he welcomed it happily.
Life wasn’t as fun as it once was and he wanted to see what came next, though he definitely didn’t think this would happen.
‘I expected Heaven, Hell, or maybe even nothing at all, but certainly not this...’ Hadrian thought, though technically he could be called James as well, seeing as they merged into one being. ‘No, I’ll just keep the name Hadrian. James Evans is dead.’
And as Hadrian began to come to grips with his odd situation, he was finally able to remember what year it currently was.
‘It’s 2009...’ Hadrian thought in shock, as he lived all the way into 2065 as James.
On top of being in a movie world, which was literally jam-packed with dangerous assassins, he just so happened to time travel as well.
‘This is crazy.’ Hadrian thought as he stepped out of the shower and looked at himself in the mirror. ‘Not bad, but...’
Although he certainly approved of his body, which somehow seemed foreign to him due to the new set of memories, Hadrian could see the many scars that littered his skin.
And these weren’t just scars from today’s incident, no, they were left over from a life of abuse at the hands of his vengeful father.
‘That motherf*cker would do this to his own son?’ Hadrian was shocked, his now combined mental age of 91 changed his perspective on this entire situation.
Before Hadrian might have still tried to win over his father, whether it be consciously or subconsciously, hoping to make the evil man love him, but that wouldn’t be happening anymore.
As a man who’s lived a full life and even fathered a few kids of his own, Hadrian understood how precious children were and was utterly disgusted by his new father.
They would have no relationship whatsoever. He would make sure of that, one way or another...
‘Only a weak man lays his hands on a child...’ Hadrian shook his head, wondering how his father was able to hold a position on the High Table with such a weak mindset.
...
Whilst Hadrian was coming to terms with his new life, a knock could be heard on the bathroom door. *Knock Knock Knock!*
“Young Master Hadrian, Dinner is served in the dining hall!” The female voice of one of the maids called out from the other side of the door.
‘Isn’t the dining room covered in my blood?’ Hadrian wondered as he turned to the door. “Bring my dinner to my room. I won’t be eating with my father today.” He said, not ready to face that man just yet.
At least, not until he comes up with a solid game plan.
A/N: 1744 words :) I just wrote this after watching the last John Wick movie. It’s just for fun so I’m not really planning anything. Spider-Man is still my main priority.
Quick Questions🚨: Should I make this story a crossover? If yes, then please comment the Movies and/or TV shows that you think would be a good match for the John Wick world. Also, I need a love interest for Hadrian. Also x2, is the name Hadrian good? I like his last name Pierce but Idk about his first name.
