About the Subscription in Patreon and my plan
Added 2024-11-04 13:23:15 +0000 UTCHi, I've been tied up with the work from the Patreon's changes few days ago, using the subscription system. But why would this change affect me so much, let me tell you.
As you know, I've been using "Up-Front Payment" which means the new subscribers/patron will receive my additional reward for the month they join (According to the last announcement). For that, I can easily check patron who had completed the transaction.
But the "Subscription-billing" method is quite similar to the usual method. But the billing is due on the date subscribers/patron subscribes the creator (The usual method's billing is on the first day of the month). Which mean I will have trouble checking the payment for each person including current and new subscribers (The current patron will still use the first month-billing). Some people might receive my reward very late compares to the current patron who receive it at the first day.
There're things I'd been thinking about;
1. Still run Patreon as usual, distributing the reward for the subscribers who completed the billing. Then in the past month, the reward will be sold in Selfy.
2. Change to Subscribe-billing method and all of the reward will be posted in the Patreon's post (Including all reward files in each tier). The reward will not be available in Selfy any longer.
- Free version is available in social media (Furaffinity, Bluesky, Telegram) after I post in Patreon 1 month.
- Character and theme can be extended (More version of each Character or theme)
- Fewer post depends on the new ideas
- Short Novel in the future (Like I did before)
