Build Notes
Redtree guard armor has a new model
Shroom dudes have basic animations and ai (no scenes yet!) and is wandering around in the swamp
Food items can now apply status effects to the player. Currently I've set everything to give a stamina regen buff but I'll start balancing and tweaking this more
Started a polish pass on Redtree buildings. The hotel just inside the main gate is the first building I'm working on and is a work in progress
UI updates!!! For shops, containers, looting, and the player inventory all have layout changes and updates
Lots of bugs fixed!
Being encumbered has a warning flash on the HUD
Stamina should have a passive regeneration rate again
Scene repositioning keys should move the characters and keep their alignment correctly
Named NPCs should save and load items that the player pickpockets to or from them
And hopefully I fixed the lighting flickering while in an interior space. (I haven't figured out how to recreate this on my end so I'm making an educated guess as to how to fix it)
So food status effects. I'll polish and balance this stuff in the future but for now - there is a barebones tooltip on food items that will tell the player what stat they effect and the intensity of that effect. Right now they'll apply a stamina regeneration buff that will stack and will last between 4 - 8 hours of in game time. To see a list of current buffs the player can go to their stats page from the inventory screen. I still need to format the time remaining stamp to be in hours and minutes.
But yeah, I sort of got stuck on those bug fixes and the UI updates after the hurricanes. They were really necessary fixes just not super exciting or fun to work on. Hopefully I can switch gears a little bit for the next build and get back to some more fun stuff. But I'm going to go crash and take a day to recuperate and then jump back into things.
