In recent weeks, the water in the rivers of this region has turned reddish, the animals in the pasture have become aggressive and the beasts of the forest have become more dangerous. Our heroes find the origin of this change in this place, where a huge blade stands on a precipice and causes a stream of blood to spring up.
The dangers of the blade:
The blade is protected by blood elementals. They shoot blood projectiles and in close combat they try to penetrate the bloodstream of their opponents. They try to stay in the blood stream because outside of it they lose more and more blood to the ground and become weaker.
At the same time, the blade radiates an aura of violence. Anyone who comes too close to it and fails a Wisdom Saving Throw performs an extra blow on their turn. Unfortunately, they cannot choose who to attack. The decision is made randomly and heroes can also turn their own blade against themselves.
If the blade itself is damaged, it will develop cracks from which almost black blood will flow. It combines to form a multi-armed creature with blood blades and red skin, which keeps breaking open and spewing streams of blood.
The twenty most powerful knights in the kingdom once died in this place. Fearing their power, they were lured into a trap and horribly slaughtered. The anger over this betrayal caused the souls of the warriors to grow into this terrible creature.
If the heroes deduce the state of the souls of these warriors and manage to calm their own souls with Wisdom rolls, they can gain advantages. Anyone who faces this creature with a peaceful soul without hatred can beat it more easily. But anyone who succumbs to the anger can be absorbed by it.
If you win, the huge blade decays and leaves behind a powerful sword into which the souls of the dead have been pressed like a diamond. The blade is almost unbreakable and has blood abilities. But if it ever breaks, the blood souls will break out again.
I wish a lot of fun with the map :)
