A possible quest for Kaer Morhen

Kaer Morhen, the great fortress of the Witchers of the School of the Wolf, lies before us. Grab the fortress in different versions of destruction or use them all for a larger story ark that revolves around the conquest and defense of this great fortress.

This map set is designed so that your heroes can first claim a Kear Morhen lying in ruins. But this endeavor could be dangerous. They first have to defeat the monsters or bandits that are currently living in the castle. Give them a lot of space and let them decide from which positions they want to attack the castle.

They can then experience a boss fight in the main hall of the castle. Then it is the task of our heroes to rebuild the castle. (During this time you can also let NPCs join or create side quests in the surrounding wilderness).
The main task of our heroes is to make the fortress ready for defense, because a powerful enemy will soon arrive. For example the wild hunt or other former enemies of our heroes. When the fortress is ready to defend, a final battle begins. Let the enemies attack at different points and look for a suitable point for the final confrontation.
I hope to have given some of you a pleasure with these map and I wish you a lot of fun!

Nice! I think the armory can be found above the main hall? I think I once saw more rooms in the Witcher 1. And yeah the Nightmare of the Wolf lab looked amazing! But honestly it doesn't have to look too close just take artistic freedom and/or have fun. I wouldn't mind it one bit. And pricerange wise that sounds absolutley doable. Would love if the fort is pretty accessible for my players. So, Im up for it as long as you have time for it. :)

Ah yes I remember :D There was the idea to implement a ruin near the fortress too? Where is the Armory to be found? Are there bed chambers in the third game or do I have to orientate on those from the first game? I'll run the game again for this. For the labs (if they should be working and aktive), we could orientate on the depiction from the Netflix anime movie about Vesemir. This set piece looked cool. As far as the price is concerned: Since I use a map making program, it is much faster than if it were hand-drawn (at the same time I am somewhat limited in the display). Nevertheless, one can work on a set piece for many hours. Since I can use the maps myself for the Patreon, I can also reduce my price. It always depends on the size and complexity of the map and without having dealt with the respective set pieces in more detail I can only estimate. But as a comparable example: If I had received an order for this, I would have asked for 40 euros for the main hall here.

If you remember I once said I wanted to do a Witcher Campaign and Im close to finishing it within the next months and just thought since Kear Morhen will be their base of operations would be neat to have all the rooms avaible to them.

Furow

Yeah, the armory too if possible. The more the better. Even added misc rooms would be neat. Just wanted a heads up for what it'll cost. Never commissioned a map before, so I really don't know what to expect. xD

Furow

Thanks! :D Which rooms do you want to have added? The bedchambers upstairs and the alchemy labs? I would have to take a closer look at it in the game etc. and then roughly estimate how many hours of work I would have to put into it.

AtaraxianBear

Man I love your maps. But say, what would a commission cost for you to add the missing rooms of the Witcher games into these maps?

Furow

I'm glad you like them! :D As far as the maps with grid are concerned, I usually don't create extra versions with grid, because with most digital tabletop programs that use maps you can usually put an individual grid over them and it would just be a huge effort for me without that many of them benefit. Are you sure the program you are using doesn't have a grid overlay feature? If you want, I can also briefly explain to you how you can use the free Photoshop program GIMP to quickly, in two steps, place a grid over any image. Apart from that, I can warmly recommend Foundry. It can be difficult to get started, but after a few YouTube tutorials you'll get into it quickly and then you'll never want to go back. The possibilities are just endless :D

I love this! I have the vtt subscription, however, will there be a gridded version of this as a jpg? I've bought Foundry and I will be using it eventually (when my head stops hurting with how to use it), so I use Role as a VTT which uses the jpg instead. Keep up the amazing work... Mesoamerican maps pretty please :D
