Request for feedback: Poll whether and how you use VTT files
Added 2021-11-13 10:35:03 +0000 UTCFor me, since I changed my style, it has become a lot more time-consuming to provide the VTT files for you.
I am now considering whether I should continue to create and upload these files, what type they should be and whether I should create a new tier for them (because this additional work is currently my biggest problem and I often don't even know whether you need these files at all )
And I don't know for which platform I should create these files. Because if it is mostly Foundry, then I could use a module to insert the appropriate walls (walls, terrain, doors, etc.) and provide them. However, none of the others platforms would then be able to use these files.
If I should have forgotten an important aspect, or you want to comment something, please leave a comment. (Or you know an easy way to create those VTT Files from raw Image Files).

To elaborate on why I use bare images. I have found with my players on Foundry VTT, that there is a time and place for walls and lights as they can detract from the expirence if done at the wrong time and scenario. From personal expirence it has been easier to add elements like walls doors lights etc. to a background (bare map image) then to fiddle around with a compendium. The main thing that helps me (which you do) is having the tile size in the name [55x55] for example. The advantage is also that I can easily scale up or down the tile size from the intended size when (rarely) its needed compared to a foundry VTT modual.
