Once again, our dear Helen seems to have meddled with affairs beyond her understanding... in truth, it was in the pursuit OF understanding that she fell victim to these unfortunate ends, but still. Our resident scientist seems to have set her sights on the ethereal, studying ghosts and monsters from different planes and realities. Reaching that deep into the Endless Eternities, it is no wonder that eventually something reached back and pulled her deeper.
The afflicted is currently in quarantine, though standard physical containment has begun to prove ineffective. She has reached out with her new ghostly hands and grabbed, corrupted, and transformed four of the researchers tasked with finding a cure. And as the corruption spreads, her ghostly powers appear to grow while her mind diminishes. She laughs as if it were all just a game, a prank or joke of which she is the only one privy to the punchline. It would appear whatever has a hold of her, doesn't intend on letting her go any time soon.
