Grammar question

A playtester took this text to mean she won a goal token simply by having 4 cards (not depicting a camera per se) in hand.

I think she just wasn't thinking. But if I'm missing something, grammatically, I'd appreciate the input of my patrons. I want the text to be clear without being unnecessarily wordy.

Gala is a location :) How’d you like to be a playtester? I could use the help, and I’ve really appreciating all your feedback on my posts. Do you play games?

Brian

I think I misread and misunderstood gala to be another object type. I think I don't know enough about the game help, actually.

Thomas

Or I could put commas before and after "in hand and/or in gala."

Brian

Can you help me see how that interpretation is possible, grammatically? I can see that only being possible if I had the words "≥4 cards in" repeated before "gala." To me it seems unnecessary to change it, but would adding the word "in" before "gala" have made it 100% clear, for you?

Brian

I can see how the mistake would be made. If I'd read the card without your context I might have thought the same thing.

Thomas
