All Quiet on the May Front

Figured I'd go ahead and post a monthly update. Even with all the posts lately about polls, it doesn't feel like I've really sat down and addressed any of you lately, so let's do that.

Firstly, thanks to all of you for already sending in your monthly prompts to me. If I haven't responded to you then everything looks good and I'll get to work on it soon. I really appreciate those of you who have been on the ball about getting these to me ASAP as it eliminates a lot of micromanagement on my end, thus leaving me more time to actually write.

Secondly, I've really enjoyed these polls and the fics they have borne since starting this new project back in March. I consider them very successful, and hopefully you all feel the same way! Now, instead of going long periods without posting any new content, this Patreon guarantees I produce at least one 2k story every two weeks, so I'm glad that keeps me active. In the past, I've been guilty about slipping into complacency until suddenly, oops, it's been almost a month since I've written anything!

And finally, let's talk about my larger fiction. I know there's been a lot of requests lately for me to continue some of my unfinished stories, but unfortunately those will have to continue waiting. I've got a looooong wait list of people asking for commissions, and I feel something of an obligation to fulfill those first. 

Hopefully everyone enjoys the results of these commissions, but it is what it is. I would love, after my wait list is emptied, to finally get the chance to work on my own stories, but I don't have any delusions about that happening. It feels like as soon as I finish one commission, two more people come asking for more. Which is... good? I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth and go "woe is me, I'm making money doing what I love!" But I do feel a bit sad for these stories -- my children -- who go so long without a new chapter. None more so than Torgus and Korlain.

But commissions are nice because I like to broaden my horizons. If left to my own devices I'd probably just do Warcraft, Overwatch, and Final Fantasy forever, but you guys push me to explore other settings like Dragonball, Fire Emblem, RWBY, etc. I've discovered a lot of characters I may have never given a chance, and I'm pretty thankful for that.
