While nothing major has happened, it's all been a series of minor incidents and unexpected bills that have forced me to focus more on my day job as opposed to writing. Death of a thousand cuts, as it were.
Since I already type for a living, it's very demotivating to finally wrap up a 6 to 8 hour just to sit back down at a computer desk that I already never leave and be faced with the challenge of writing a couple thousand words of smut. And it's not that I have a problem writing smut; I love writing smut for you guys, but my fingers can only carry me so far.
To that end, I've decided to scale back on the number of non-Patreon commissions I'll be accepting. My priority will always be to you patrons here first and foremost, and I really don't like have to keep pushing back your pledge rewards so late in the month. So I'm going to be putting more of a focus on those for the time being.
Another reason I want to cut back on commissions is so I have more time to explore my own fics. I'm talking about stories that people don't pay me to write that I do just because I want to. Stories like Torgus and Korlain, D.Va's Defilement, and of course the yet unfinished Free Use in Dalaran. I already announced my intention to let you all vote on which of these stories will be getting updates... And while the poll was over a month ago, I still have yet to write the winning chapter. That's not a good feeling for me personally, and I hate putting it off.
So in short, less commissions means more me-time, which means more chapters being written and more frequent polls in the future where you all get to choose what comes out next.
