We do basically know that they a made of fear, in Episode 18 at minute 16:25 we can see the guys who are now confirmed to be "Phobiaclone" inside purple tanks of the Treeman Corp. Its likely the original never leaves those purple tanks and instead every copy we see is exacly that, a copy made from pure fear which is why it can split itself and even move like a liquid

The hero top ten in the ending video of episode #24 was the result of the online fan ranking via the TBHX bilibili site, which ended before the show started. The current hero top ten as of year 41AC in the show is: #1: X, #2: Queen, #3: Dragonboy, #4: Ghostblade, #5: The Johnnies, #6: Loli, #7: Lucky Cyan, #8: Ahu, #9: The Commoner, #10: Nice Between the Moon incident and the tournament, Lin Ling rose to #9, knocking E-Soul down to #10. Nice then reappeared alive and E-Soul fell to #11, leaving the tournament entirely. When they unveiled Nice at the end, a few of the comments on the screen basically showed that, but I don't think they were translated or anything

I know its been on your polls a few times now, but Link Click is an excellent way to pass the time while we wait for the next season. It's another Chinese anime with the same director as To Be Hero X.

And because humans flawed if they then turn evil like 0 did there will be no stopping him. I also don't think X was an actual magician, the dog was just comparing him to the magicians he used to see at the circus. Also one can vote on their website for the hero ranking and that will supposedly affect the story in the next season.

From characters, storytelling and animation this series was just top rank from start to finish. S2 can’t come fast enough, I need to see how all of these connected characters interact and how X is going to defy fate. My theory is all the ranked heroes are going to join forces by X orchestration.

Originally, Moon still being alive could have had a big impact on heroes across the board, and Rock wants Dragon Boy to become a new god, so Rock has ESoul kill Moon to stop her scandal from affecting the ripples that would reach Dragon Boy and his scandals. Lin Ling being the good boy he is, ended up being something the public could rally behind instead of focusing on the details of the scandal itself. At least that’s my theory.

2025-09-18 16:17:13 +0000 UTCThere’s a theory that the special ending is actually a preview for season 2 at least after they show the tournament …during the Queen arc they actually showed the Tarot Card girl they are fighting who may or may not be X’s friend and one of the other heroes fighting with X in it on a screen. They didn’t translate it but it said that Nice replaced E Soul in the top 10 which is why he’s with Rock and not at the tournament and people are speculating that he was reanimated with fear Season 2 is already confirmed for another 24 eps hopefully it’s not too long of a wait
