2025-09-17 00:43:20 +0000 UTCI think Hirata was just against organized sacrifice. A situation where everyone just "logically" decides who's [school] life [here] is over. It feels like he doesn't want the choice to "make sense", since that's just a form of culling the weak. He would rather it be random with people's biases deciding it at the end. A decision where people will feel rightfully guilty and reflective in partaking in, rather than shrug it off as a majority's decision. If so, I kinda understand his point of view, even if I don't really agree with it.
