He tried to help each of these kids without actually understanding them, their troubles or the basics of human nature. In doing so he just made everything worse. So the only path for his redemption was to go back in time and not interfere with their troubles outside of bringing Shizuka and Marina together and passing along the message to Azuma that it was okay to fight with his brother so that he could develop a real sibling relationship with him.

2025-08-31 05:53:19 +0000 UTCI find it sweet that they all found somebody to confide in. Azuma grew closer to his older brother, and Shizuka and Marina were able to find solace in one another. Though, it’s very bittersweet. Shizuka gets to keep Chappy, and go to school without Marina’s bullying, but her parents still completely neglect her. Meanwhile Marina’s mom doesn’t stop her violence. I just the mom never tries to hurt her the way she did before.

The ending has to be one of the most bittersweet endings I’ve seen, yet it was very fitting. And Morgan is absolutely correct. Every parent in this series is grade A trash. Great analysis of Naoki’s story and the conclusion of it. I agree with every point. And while their living situations didn’t change, I’m very happy Shizuka and Marins were able to find solace in each other, the way they connected over the tiny drawing of Takopi, was sweet as it was heart wrenching. In the end, Takopi really did improve these kids lives. Even if was just a little. Takopi’s Original Sin was one of the difficult and painful series I’ve experienced. But it was also one of the most genuine and meaningful series I’ve experienced as well. The visuals, music, acting and overall storytelling were excellent.

2025-08-13 19:32:13 +0000 UTCYeah. I think the ending is bittersweet, but hopeful. realistic. Takopi didn't magically fix their lives or get rid of their problems. But he brought people who were suffering together. Sometimes when you're in really dark places, its enough just knowing that other people are going through it with you. He didn't outright fix anything, but having a friend who understands can make things easier to live with at least.

It is depressing how Takopi can't really fix all these familial issues affecting the trio even with all these magical gadgets but offering friendship and affection was enough :')

Thankfully deep rooted memory of our baby boy did reach out in right moment and made it a "happy" end :) Lets not watch anything this traumatizing soon plz

It's what Naoki took responsability for in the first place, trying to impress Shizuka, so that would make sense. He's still involve with the crime but in doing so must have incriminate Shizuka as the main suspect, telling to the police he was coerce, and that she's the one in possession of the bloody weapon that cause blunt trauma. That would be why he couldn't see her anymore, he chose to betray her and part with her. So either way it's ruined their clinic reputation and affected Junya life.
