It's hard to tell just by watching the main storyline, but as the 'heiress' to her father's position, she had to comply with a lot of her family's expectations and ended up deceiving herself—doing what was expected rather than what she truly wanted. I haven't read the light novels, but I assume that she, Hayama, and Yukinoshita had a complicated relationship even before Season 1. Her behavior is a bit toxic, sure, but it's also her way of pushing them to take action—so they don’t end up like her: someone who 'can’t get drunk,' or in other words, someone so emotionally damaged that they can’t ever let their guard down enough to build a genuine connection with others.
