2025-04-05 10:35:51 +0000 UTCDon't gat me wrong. I enjoy your reactions to this series a lot. But this one bit annoys me because I have not seen a single reactor actually get this part. It's explicitly pointed out multiple times that Yukino's mom does not have a problem with the Prom and she is not trying to cause problems for it. Yet everybody, not just you, always just moves right back to 'oh it's just her who wants to stop it'. and even when hachiman himself directly says 'Yukino's mom is not the antagonist' it never gets acknowledged. Do people just selectively forget that Hachiman, Yukino, Haruno and Yui are all unreliable narrators? If you just look at her actions, Yukino's mom has done absolutely nothing wrong. If anything, Hachiman's plan relies on the fact that Yukino's mom is actually interested in giving her daughter the chance to try this Prom thing but was not able to for outside reasons. Also, what do you mean 'you're lucky he didn't sue'? Hachiman is the one who jumped into traffic. that accident was his fault. If anything, he is lucky they didn't sue. And, as far as I recall, they even paid his hospital bill, even though they absolutely did not have to. Again, the accident was his fault. Also yeah, the codependency is absolutely true. By the way. That end credit scene is an truncated version of multiple intermission chapters of the final volume. it's incredible and really shows why reading the Light Novels is very much worth it.
