Like I think it's more that Haruno has an unhelpful twisted worldview due to what she sacrificed in her life, and thinks pushing that on Yukino is best for her. So she calls their attachment 'codependency' even though Hikki knows he can help Yukino without having her be reliant on him

I mean, they are just teenagers balancing for the first time friendship and love. Sure it’s not really good that they went on all this time ignoring what was happening and pretending to just be friends and everything is ok, but from that to call it codependency is a BIG jump 😂
