I’m sure they’ll get to it man, I know they have quite a lot to catch up on, plus I think they’re still in Japan at the moment? 🤔 they might also just be waiting for the current episodes to finish since there’s one more to go now iirc, so just give them time and I’m certain they’ll get round to it...or they're waiting to get home to watch more as they have more of their notes at home - and Re Zero is a pretty intensive show to watch information wise.

When will you guys be reacting to the more recent episodes?

Aggro

The songstress has telepathy. That’s why everyone can hear her been a while since I read the arc but I think they mentioned it in ep 8 ?

Nice, K-Dot reference 😅😅. The action and animation this season has been most excellent.

ahh okay that does make sense, thanks for clarifying! -Morgan

The React Pack

Subaru has “unseen hand” because the authority chose him as its next vessel basically, however, it’s not possible to have more than one authority, so it’s not like Subaru will get them all by defeating the archbishops, the line from regulus “why do you have my authority” is a huge mistranslation, he actually said “what have you done to my authority”

Hope yous enjoyed the episodes! Not much to say regarding episode 11, it’s a good episode, it’s just pretty straightforward lol. As for episode 12, regarding your discussion at the end - the Sloth Witch Factor that used to belong to Petelgeuse passed onto Subaru once he killed him - however he wasn’t super compatible with it until the Tea Party with Echidna (Note, compatibility with a witch factor is a big factor in things…Petelgeuse was NOT compatible at all with it, which is why when he first absorbed it, his stomach was churning and looked like it was stretching and moving - also why he bled out his eyes…and it also helped make him extra insane - tho Pandora did a good job on that already). This is the first time Subaru has called it ‘Unseen Hand’ however, instead of ‘Invisible Providence’. This is twofold - on one hand, it’s because Petelgeuse HEAVILY traumatised Subaru via making Rem play twister and secondly because it causes him immense pain when using it (as Subaru isn’t very Slothful in nature, so he also isn’t *super* compatible with it, which is why he can only summon one arm), so him using it like that was a pretty big step for him. And so ends Regulus Corneas…a man-child until the very end… So - the episode did cut out a fair bit of Regulus’ backstory - but don’t worry, there was never an intention to make him somewhat sympathetic or relatable, it merely showcased Regulus’ flaws more than anything. It’s insinuated in his dialogue, but he has a massive inferiority complex, thinking people were pitying him all the time. This stems from his family being one that lived in poverty - his Father was an alcoholic, his Mother complained all the time and his Siblings were Greedy for food on their plates…yet his parents and siblings still cared and were generous with him because they loved him - his Father getting him gifts, his Mother apologising for complaining, his Siblings giving food whenever his stomach rumbled. Regulus refused to acknowledge this as love and, when he received the Authority of Greed, proceeded to slaughter everyone in his family and village besides his childhood friend - who he made into his first wife. After slaughtering her family and anyone who knew her, she mentally broke, refusing to smile, laugh, cry or show any emotion - despite Regulus’ attempts to make her do so…that is, until the day she took her own life, where she finally smiled. Regulus was haunted by this, and thus forbade any future wives from showing any emotion whatsoever as it confirmed the one thing Regulus refused to believe…that none of them loved him - that all the women he trapped and made his wives detested and loathed him with every fibre of their being - that death was far more preferable than to spend a moment longer with him…Regulus had the seeds of evil in his veins from the very beginning. It’s ironic - Regulus’ ability was to freeze himself in time, staying forever in his prime, forever in his (in his eyes) ‘most perfect state’…yet mentally, he had never changed at all - he was still that ungrateful, selfish, prideful child till the end - even curling into a ball as he fell upwards, screaming ‘Its not my fault’, still refusing to take any responsibility or grow and acknowledge his wrongdoings… I don’t know if you may have noticed it, but he - and other Sin Archbishops (like Petelgeuse so far - we’ll have to see if the others are as well) - are dark parallels of Subaru at his worst. Back in S1, Ep 12/13 and whatnot, he was claiming he was being generous and that Emilia should be thankful because he was doing those things for her, when in reality he was doing it for his own selfish reasons, yelling at her because she didn’t understand and - more or less - guilt tripping her…the difference is, Subaru grew and learned from his wrongdoings. Regulus did not. A sad, pitiful, pathetic little man-child until the very end, leaving no lasting mark on either Emilia - who he loathed thinking she was taking satisfaction in avenging Geuse and Fortuna…whereas in reality, she couldn’t even remember he had a role in their fates, as he faded into obscurity - reflected by the white title card with his name on it at the end of the episode, which you did comment on and wondered if there was any correlation.
