Man, for some reason I remember in the comic when Oliver asked Mark if he ever thought their dad was right he actually said 'Yes...". I'm either remembering wrong (it's been a LONG time since I read the comics) or it's something they changed.

wiski

Not trying to attack you or anything but not everyone deserves to be reformed. Would you forgive the viltrimites, after eradicating how many billions of lives how about homelander, or the Deep ? Was anyone outraged when people that needed to be killed on the boys got their comeuppance like Lady liberty (storm front) translucent or Ezekiel? We can't scramble up the moral high ground only when we sufficiently like the protag & equally dislike the villain. I have a distain for Atom Eves dad even more so than I dislike to Cecil or the Maulers, cause he’s a bigoted POS the world would genuinely be a better place without his ilk. But objectively the other 3 have caused more pain & destruction than her dad. The latter deserve life in prison if not outright executions since they’ll just escape & continue as they were.

CocainCowboy

Glad someone as naive as you isn’t making decisions for anyone other than yourself

CocainCowboy

Have you read the comics ? The entire story is a utilitarian argument, of the hero’s learning that their over inflated sense of morality is getting people killed, that their idea of them feeling good about what & how they go about it is more important to them than actually saving people. Nice job of not understanding the bigger argument the story & myself are making. I get you’re probably not aware of the entire context of Oliver’s argument since the show cut out some stuff but even without the rest of the story he is objectively correct. Are the mauler twins genocidal maniacs, no but they have plenty of blood on their hands & launched a nuke regardless of them just doing it for the luls & EMPing electronics, what happens down stream of that. How many people will be affected by is it kinda of a moot point the issue is they’re causing harm & kill if they have to. Were you this animated when stormfront was killed, how about Translucent or Ezekiel, would you have batted an eye if Starlight killed the deep while he assaulted her ? If you say no you’re a hypocrite & if you think none of them deserved that then there’s something seriously wrong with you.

CocainCowboy

I'm glad that someone called "CocainCowboy" isn't a superhero. Murder is wrong. Oliver was wrong.

Mten10th

It wasn’t a nuke it was an EMP missile, they removed the warhead

OB11

I empathize with your points but I don’t think it’s a good idea for people to take it upon themselves to be judge and executioner. Once you cross that line, it opens up more possibilities of executing criminals on the spot. At some point it’ll stop being about “to protect & reform” but be about “to fear and punish.”

Yuno

"Countless lives" Huh? we have literally seen them kill a grand total of 2 person, those 2 persons being Kate clones lmao... and that nuke was to blow up a satellite in space, it wasn't targeting people... When did you see the twins kill countless people ?? They're not mass murderer lol and calling Oliver "more mature" is wild, his pov is literally "I don't care about these inferior beings they can all die they mean nothing", is that really what you call maturity? Killing somebody that is surrendering is an actual war crime even in real life, that's what Oliver did lol.

Marc Senécal

Oliver’s completely right in the sense that killing them is the right choice & not that Omniman was right. Superhero’s care far more about their morality than actually saving lives. I get they’re comic books but it’s wild like in this case how many countless lives did the twins take ? How many more would’ve died because of that nuke, Oliver did what had to be done, all he needs is someone to guide him either way he’s a lot more mature than the hero’s in this series.

CocainCowboy

This was a great reaction. While I think Cecil could have handled things better, I believe he's being super cautious after what happened with Nolan. He asked Mark multiple times to leave that white room, but Mare escalated the situation. Mark is part Viltrumite, and is stronger than any hero on earth. He needs to remember that. Cecil wants to trust Mark, but also sees some of Nolan in him. Mark needs to pick a stance and treat everyone accordingly. He can't have separate rules for his family. He also needs to remember how rebellious he was when he first got his powers, and remember that Oliver is not nearly as mentally mature as he was. I also really appreciate how much you guys understand Amber's character.

Mten10th

Landlords really are the real villains 🗣️

Chimezie Meregini

I don't know why. But it made me very happy seeing Sam bobbing her head to Run the Jewels😊😊

Nolan L Thomas

You guys are right about why Oliver has a different view on life. His people grow up so fast that everyone Oliver knew would be dead by now, so he doesn’t view life as some precious thing. Also you’re right that yeah he’s smart but his life experience is probably under a year if that and bar Debbie and Mark he has 0 connection to Earth unlike Mark when he was a kid

OB11

🤣🤣I ain't going to lie, Sam confused the hell out of me with the Mauler Twins. She likes them but is sick of seeing them, but also thinks their funny. I really like the harsh realities they are throwing Mark's way. He is getting a hard lesson that not everything is simply black and white.

Nolan L Thomas

I really appreciate the opening for this episode. It gave a good look at how decent people can be pushed to crime. Not everything is simply black and white. There is a lot of gray in the world. Another thing I like is the bond developing between Rae and Rex. Rex's development has been so good over the course of the series.

Nolan L Thomas

I am ready for peak! Edit: I just started but wow that intro sequence was fantastic.
