It comes off as fairly broad and generic at first but the meat of it is this very specific and nuanced character study of Hikigaya and Yukinoshita's various pathologies that takes a while to get going.

2025-01-16 15:56:12 +0000 UTCNote on the translation here, since it seems to have caused some confusion: When Hikigaya calls Yuigahama a "bitch", the word he uses in Japanese is "bicchi" (https://jisho.org/search/bicchi). That *is* a borrowing into Japanese of the English "bitch", and translators frequently like to translate it as that, but it's more typically used to mean "slut"- which is why Yui's response is to declare that she's a virgin. (e: though Hikki is here using it as a synonym for "normie", because he is an insane person) ...didn't think that was something I was going to be explaining when I woke up this morning...
