Rather than leave Aqua to his own despair, he came up with the best solution that Aqua would actually listen to: something that would help him with his revenge mission. Remember, Aqua is mentally not a teenager.

So, the reason Aqua wanted to know about the director (Kindaichi) is because he was at the start of the workshops LaLaLai, and Aqua knows Ai was in one of the workshops, which is where she met someone (that's the tip he recieved from the producer Kaburagi). While he does all this he just DNA tests people for any possibility, which is why you noticed he had GOA's sample there as well. Morgan brought an intresting point as well which I don't see pretty much no reactors bring: therapy never worked for Aqua (and hardly would) cause he never had the mindset of a child, so no one would be actually be able to treat him properly, which is fckd up.

2025-01-11 18:55:42 +0000 UTCWhile the Director's advice to Aqua to suffer as he performs definitely seems like bad advice, it's also the only way for Aqua to bring out emotional acting and helps him avoid triggering a panic attack. It's ultimately self-destructive, and the best thing for him to do would just stop acting altogether, but that's obviously not an option for him.
