Added 2025-03-01 03:49:06 +0000 UTCI just became aware that someone has shared access to my Patreon memberships with a pirate site, allowing it to scrape my content on and share it publicly.
Unfortunately, in doing so, they also scraped any comments you may have left on my content.
I'm very sorry this happened to us all. You did not consent to have your comments shared and I'm sorry that words you thought you were posting in a group full of like-minded people are now being shared to anyone with an idle curiosity.
Unfortunately, it's the nature of the internet that we can only control what we put online. We can never control what happens to what we post after that. This is a disappointing reminder of that.
But I wanted to let you know, so you are more aware of what is happening when you leave comments on my audios here. I assume this will have a cooling effect on the conversations we have in the comments, but on the bright side, the community chat seems to have missed being scraped. ..yet.
I'm sorry for any distress this may have caused. And thank you for all the support you've given. Without you, I wouldn't be able to do this and I will be eternally grateful to you all for that.

Ugh...sadly one of the many examples of the darker side of human nature. It reminds me of a line from the character The Outsider from the "Dishonored" series: "Perhaps that's just the nature of man."

I know that if I were to make this channel work, it would be due to the kindness of people who embrace the democratization of the arts and entertainment and are patrons of small artists like me. I'm more upset that your comments were scraped.

Having been thru it is one of the reasons I'm kinda cavalier about my internet privacy, but most people don't have that privilege so my sympathies to any brethren here who've been hurt by this. All I have to say otherwise is that no one's silencing me (much as some people have often wished I'd shut up sometimes!) or driving me away from supporting you, and even if they have to go quiet to protect themselves I doubt these jerks are running anyone else out, either. Bakery for life. ❤️
