2024-11-28 11:03:01 +0000 UTCYuki’s character got a lot of hate after this episode but I think people fail to understand how all these characters are in high school and most likely dealing with romantic feelings/relationships for the first time. Yuki didn’t have her best moment here but she’s not a bad person - I find her and Toru’s relationship to be more realistic compared to Hori and Miyamura.

Yuki is obviously a person that deals with her internal struggles with insecurity and being vulnerable; she's portrayed as someone that values her friends but struggles with her own self-worth. The show makes it a point that she needs to stop being afraid to go after what she wants and it's okay to be selfish for once as nobody is going to give you what you want; she needs to overcome her lack of self-worth and decide that she wants it, "the snow decides when it wants to melt". Sengoku states it best, "it only hurts because nobody is in the wrong". The fact that you think Yuki is at fault here shows you don't understand the character at all.

That's unfair to Yanagi. Yuki liked Toru way before Sakura, but don't forget that Toru liked her best friend Hori and was still getting over her. I highly doubt Toru was gonna date Sakura, a girl he barely knows, even if Yuki didn't make up that lie about them dating. Maybe I'm the weird one or there were missing scenes, but I don't understand how Sakura even came to like him so much when she doesn't know the first thing about Toru, they're not even in the same class.

Imagine working so hard to try to get the courage to ask out the guy you like, even giving him things but Yuki is just over here like "Oh wait, dang I have feelings for him" after Sakura had already liked him way before. Not only that but Yuki didn't even give Yanagi a chance. Yea no Im sorry but I slowly started disliking her more and more. I started liking Sakura much more, I hope Yanagi and Sakura get together and have beautiful model babies xD

2024-11-27 19:28:21 +0000 UTCThe "out of their league" isn't really just looks, Sakura is smart and on the student council, and really kind and considerate, so for Toru it's not just an appearance thing, but literally someone who he doesn't feel very worthy of.
