When Vi was down there and got a deep wound, Caitlyn went to trade in her gun and was given medicine(that had shimmer in it) that almost instantly healed Vi. Another time was when Jinx was about to die, she was injected with a bunch of shimmer in order to keep her alive and cure all her injuries that would have caused her death. Silco used its curative capabilities to ease the pain of his eye that got infected from the river. Warwick/Vander was literally revived/kept alive by being pumped with newer Shimmer which allowed Singed to experiment on him and find a way to make him immortal. Shimmer is also what has helped Singed keep his daughter just barely alive in a near death state.

2024-11-23 09:30:31 +0000 UTCIn my opinion Silco > Vander as a leader of Zaun, Ekko is definitely the best choice though. Vander is great. Silco is also great. Ekko is the closest thing to perfect for leadership. Let’s start with Vander. Sure yea Vander had peace right? At what cost though? His people were basically oppressed and slaves to Piltover still. If Piltover wanted anything they would go down there BUT the undercity people weren’t allowed to go to Piltover unless they they deemed them worthy to be up there(Like Viktor who was a very good scientist). Vander was no longer willing to fight for the undercity’s actual independence and freedom. That is not true freedom at all whatsoever. Now Silco on the other hand was actually fighting to gain their independence. He however went about it the wrong way too a bit. He was willing to do ANYTHING it took to gain that independence which included illegal things. He rushed the creation of Shimmer which in a sense caused the Doctor Singed to have to use an unfinished chemical that was still highly addictive and had several side effects to it. The addicts doe, that’s on people who decided to take it just so they can feel strong though. Anyway, point is that with Silco the undercity also had peace and a much more actual sense of freedom from Piltover because Piltover could not mess with them when Silco was around. Shimmer began to become stabilized(the doctor used Zaun citizens as test subjects, yes that WAS NOT Silco who turned people into monster addicts) at the cost of people in the undercity and started being used as a way to heal major injuries. Silco didn’t stop the doctor from using Zaunites as test subjects, or maybe he didn’t even know 🤷♂️ we dont know fully yet. Finally Ekko. Ekko is a nice mix of Vander and Silco. Ekko is like Vander in the sense that he is able to maintain peace and give the people what they want/need. He is also like Silco in a sense that he is willing to fight for their freedom NO MATTER WHAT(except bad things that would hurt his own people, yes Ekko would still commit other crimes, come on now he is a Zaunite). Ekko has the spirit of both Silco and Vander within him, wanting to fight for the cause(a line Silco said before) and keeping the undercity under control/in peace.

Even if the under city wasn’t oppressed at the start, it doesn’t change the fact that Piltover began oppressing them later probably for 100+ years. Jinx didn’t know that the council was about to vote yes for the independence of Zaun so yes she committed terrorism but wouldn’t you be sick of basically being slaves to other people living rich cozy lives? And they are Rich because they sell the stuff mined from the under city. Imagine slaving away at resources they sell for a shit ton of money and you get what? Like a dollar? Maybe $5? Id fuckin blow up the council too tf. Obviously not if I knew ahead of time that they were going to give us independence.
